Founders make some noise! Meet the real-life stars of Tide’s new TV ad
We believe that starting your own business is something to shout about. As part of our mission to celebrate those who work for themselves, we love nothing more than to put our members centre-stage. And what better way to do this than on national television with our latest TV advert, entitled ‘Founders Make Some Noise’. In collaboration with Tide member, creative agency, Sidekick Studios, our new ad campaign is true to our core value of putting small businesses first, as it features three real-life Tide members. In this article, we’ll introduce you to the stars of our latest TV ad and explain the inspiration behind our latest campaign.
Meet Kate Clare, founder of LOUD Architects
Established in 2017, award-winning East London-based LOUD specialises in mainly residential dwellings, providing innovative design and architectural solutions to everything from expansive country houses to bijou apartments and everything in between! Kate and her team place great emphasis on having fun with their clients and, above all, making the impossible come to life. Embodying the belief that architecture should create joy, they love to create one-off living spaces using an innovative mix of building materials, shapes, and colours.
Meet Lorenzo, founder of Salami Events
Italian-born, chef, Lorenzo Salami credits his passion for food from family dinners where he experienced first-hand the joy that sharing a good meal can bring to family and friends. He has trained alongside some of the world’s most critically acclaimed chefs in Michelin-starred restaurants throughout both London and Versailles. As well as working in a number of top restaurants, Lorenzo has also collaborated with some of London’s most eminent catering companies and has organised private dinners, office receptions, and cocktail parties for private households, galleries, and luxury boutiques. He has even spent time as a Sous-Chef for the Royal Household, working for TRH the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall.
Meet Annie Beatson, founder of Luxemore London
Annie founded Luxemore London in 2018 as a premium all-natural wellness brand, providing a range of vegan hair and skincare products. Described as bridging the gap between nature and opulence, Luxemore London uses ethically sourced ingredients to blend luxury products suitable for all hair types, but particularly textured curly hair. Annie has established a clean beauty movement with the aim of providing safe and toxin-free alternatives for the afro hair-care industry. Rather than a project borne from solely passion, Annie describes Luxemore London as a purposes project, as she was determined to produce quality products that benefit her community, as well as looking aesthetically beautiful too.
With the economy beginning to open up again, the time is ripe for small businesses to capitalise and look for new opportunities to expand. ‘Founders make some noise’ is all about empowerment, encouraging entrepreneurs and small business owners to take their businesses to the next level and make success something to shout about.
Commenting on the new campaign, George Schmidt, VP of Marketing at Tide said:
“With this new campaign, we really want to celebrate and empower small businesses. We hope that by showcasing three brilliantly exciting and diverse businesses we can inspire others to take the step to start their business or take it to the next level.”
George Schmidt, VP of Marketing at Tide
At the heart of the campaign is Tide’s passion for small businesses with the mission to save those who work for themselves both time and money with their finance admin. Not only can a business bank account be opened in just minutes, but members can access a wealth of time-saving products. Whether starting out as a sole trader, freelancing or looking to expand by setting up a limited company, there’s a feature in the Tide app for anyone who works for themselves.
Like a personal toolbox, the Tide app offers a host of useful products and services to help business owners with their finance admin. As well as a business current account for start-ups with no monthly fees, members can set up both standing orders and Direct Debits as well as tag transactions to keep track of expenditure. Expense management is made simple with the electronic receipt upload facility and it’s easy to sync accounts with a range of popular accounting software, including QuickBooks, Sage, and Xero.
And, as businesses grow, the range of Tide features within the app will grow with them. Team expenses can be made simple with Tide Expense Cards with up to 50 cards per account, as well as spending limits. Invoice Assistant helps businesses get paid on time with auto-matching and auto-chasing facilities. It’s even easy to keep on top of business forecasting with Cashflow Insights.
